The Pamplemousse a Kentucky Derby Prospect is in the San Rafael Stakes and works out in this video before the race with Alex Solis aboard. The Pamplemousse could be headed to the Kentucky derby as a top prospect.

The Mousse is loose! Kafwain’s mama actually has some stamina via Hatchetman and Quack. I do see the Cherokee Run influences as limitations though. Like him much better for the Preakness.

Could be a great horse, but the Derby field is tough and is Quality Road will be my pick. i do like the Mousse in the Preakness and I’ll be there.

i have read in many articles that he (the pamplemousse) has one of the most awkward strides ever. he was over looked by many when he went to sale as a young horse. but just look at him fly. he is a beautiful big strong gray.

The vet looked at him this morning and said he was stiff and the vet didn’t want to take any chances. I don’t blame the the vet.

He had some heat in a tendon, so they chose to scratch. But he will be back to crush al rivals in the Derby!

Unfortunitly, he scrached from the Derby too…. I hope that Gato Go Wion gets in the Derby! I’ll be rooting for him!

I would really LOVE to see Gato Go Win go to the Derby! So far the runners are: Old Fashioned, Dunkirk, Betthoven, Square Eddie, Pioneerof The Nile, Friesan Fire, Desert Party, Quality Road, I Want Revenge, Win Willy, Mafaaz(GB), Regal Ransom, and Hold Me Back. Horses that are off the Derby trail are: Stardom Bound, The Pamplemousse, Midshipman, and Vinyarde Haven.

This video is great. Love his response to the “Square Eddie” question. No problem! Was my top Derby pick too. My heart broke when I heard he was sidelined. The big guy will come back bigger and stronger, then they all better look out.
