David Crone- I usually love your handicapping. I disagree on a few horses. I definately will not rule out Deans Kitten. watch last 4 race and see the amazing improvment at each distance. I don’t think he has peaked yet. I would not leave this one off your Tri-fecta.

David – You are the man. Hats off to you. I have no idea how you picked Super Saver. I thought his BRIS ratings in the last 2 races were over rated. If you had Make music for me in your exotics I am sure you will retire. Lucky in trouble again .. who would have guessed right? Ice box closing on a dying field NO WAY lol. I broke even having Ice box to show as my safety bet.

How did you think Ice Box did? If he had an opening when he hit the stretch, I thought he could have caught the winner. He was almost eased up to avoid horses in the stretch, and yet came in flying second.

@exfolios He should have won the race. That is to say, with a clean trip he would have won. It’s funny, Lezcano tried to emulate Borel’s Street Sense/Mine That Bird trips…and he got absolutely stopped. He never had clear running until the eighth pole and by then it was too late. Obviously the front runners fell apart, and the final quarter was extremely slow though, so this doesn’t mean Ice Box is some great horse.

sydneys candy and super saver are some of my favorites.
I wanted Mine That Bird to race, if he did he would of won again.

@npspec34 If you watch the video my picks were pretty clearly laid out. I chose Devil May Care over Super Saver and Awesome Act, with a couple of others that I considered real contenders.

wow dude! that was a really good analysis of the derby contenders! I picked Devil May Care also. she finished 10th but still..you had super saver and paddy o’prado as top 3 and they were. nice job!

@bbear1994 Thanks for the comment! Yeah, DMC was right there at the top of the stretch and just came up empty. Big effort by Super Saver to hang on as basically everything else was falling apart.

Great analysis! In fact, it was so good, you have to wonder why such a lame top pick.
