I watched the Fla Derby and was very impressed with Ice Box’s stretch run. He almost did it again – but Calvin BO RAIL and Pletcher deserved this win. What a great race!

@Weegee010 I gotta disagree. Yeah, Durkin missed MTB coming up the rail last year. Bad mistake. But this guy missed Super Saver’s move too. They were half way down the stretch and SS was already leading for 200 yeads before he even mentioned him. Plus his voice doesn’t compare to Durkin.

If the Preakness and Belmont came up sloppy, Super Saver’s chances for a Triple Crown improves. Still undefeated on a wet surface. If both races come up fast, one of the Ky Derby also-rans or new shooters can defeat him in the other two legs.

@Weegee010 Spot on? SS made his move at 1:26 of this video and he doesn’t mention him until 1:46 when he is about 2 lengths in front. He missed that entire move from about 4 lengths back to 2 in front. . I guess the voice thing is one of personal preference. I still think Durkin is the best in the game.

Also I wanted Mike Smith to win he’s like my fav. But I hadnt heard much about Jackson Bend so I knew that was a complete no to winning. Also Joe should have calmed the horsed down until at least the middle of the race to give SC a better chance. He got to tired.

The horse that finished second icebox will win the preakness and possibly the belmont… but i haven’t looked at the new entries but if the same u wanna pick the horse that came second. He got into so much trouble around the turn and stretch. Super Savour’s ability to draw away from horses really sucks especially if there is a fast pace… ICEBOX WILL WIN!!!
