   This was a horrible race to handicap: wide-open, with no truly dominant starters, + the sloppy surface….

   I had Ice Box in my exactor but L@L & DMC had a tough time, so didn’t cash here.

   Preakness should be another toss-up: Ice Box may not run, DMC not going, Eskendereya iffy…. If Conveyance is in, I will be playing him not Super SAver

   Super Saver can take the Preakness. i gotta think Icebox is better suited to close the distance of the Belmont. I’d love to see a triple crown winner, i remember Affirmed quite well…just dont see it happening.

   @bbear1994 I doubt the strong finish has much to do with IceBox’s suitability for 12f…just as often horses win the Belmont from near the pace (like Affirmed). Nicky is figuring the horse went thru so much- covered so much ground, little use expecting him not to bounce on the short rest. Besides, he’ll be more comfortable getting ready in NY and there’s no use now feeling like he hasta do all 3.

    @jdavidcole64 you may be right and you’re point is a very good one. it’s just that the last 2 races, Icebox closed so fast on the outside..that seems to be his style and if he has clear air in the last 1/4 mile in the Belmont, i dont think its unreasonable that he could run down the leader…that said i STILL want Super Saver to win all 3.

    this 20 horse field shit has to stop….Ice Box was the best horse May 1 and had to check 3 times, they should make it 15 horses

    down the end stretch he is beating that horse…not saying that in a mean way..but just watch the end stretch..how strong calvin borel runs that horse down that stretch..watch his jockey skills…very strong man pound for pound..with a will to win…
