Detroit Lions NFL Football Season Win Projection
From GamblersTelevision.com Tony T here from Gamblers Television covering the NFL “Vegas Style” all season long. The Detroit Lions finished the 2007 regular season with a record of 7-9. After starting 6-2 the Lions lost 7 of their last 8 games with their only victory coming against hapless Kansas City. The defense gave up the most points and yardage last season in the league. Oddsmakers have set the 2008 Detroit Lions projected regular season win total at 6 ½ wins. Schedule Detroit plays in the NFC North and that means two games against Minnesota, Chicago and Green Bay. The NFC North plays the NFC South and AFC South with a tough road game at Indianapolis. As the third place team last year they play the two other third place NFC teams and that means a road game at San Francisco and a home game against Washington. Offense: Quarterback Jon Kitna was sorry to see offensive coordinator Mike Martz leave the team. He played well in his system and unfortunately the Lions did not have depth on defense to survive a season under Martz running the offense. Kitna passed for over 8000 yards over the past two seasons combined. He has targets in the passing game with Calvin Johnson, Roy Williams and Mike Furrey. The Lions didn’t run the ball because they couldn’t with their personnel. They are counting heavily on third round pick Kevin Smith to run the ball out of Central Florida. Smith’s backup is Tatum Bell. Did I forget to say that Matt Millen is the GM of this team!! This is how you …

i’m gonna go way out on a limb and say that they’ll at least break even this year. of course, i reserve the right to back outta that prediction once the season starts.

wow… this guys is sooo disturbing to watch. hes such an oddball.

The lousy Lions will be lucky to win 5 games. Let’s face it, Millen has been wrecking the team since he got there (which included wasting first round picks on wide receivers in 4 of the last 6 drafts). On top of that, Kitna is making guarantees that neither he or his team can back up, and each year, the Lions keep firing the WRONG SCAPEGOATS – including Steve Mariucci and Kevin Jones! If anyone needs to be fired for the Lions’ failures, it’s Matt Millen!

The Lions need a line, a back, & a defense! 4-12
December 5th, 2008 at 5:38 pm
LOLOLOL- try 6 1/2 wins minus 6 and you basically have the lions season (b/c they only score in the 1st quarter)
December 7th, 2008 at 7:47 pm
hahahaha, the lions are now….0-12!
December 16th, 2008 at 3:45 am
hey dumb fuck if ur gonna diss a team at least know what ur talking bout. They only score in the 2nd half
December 16th, 2008 at 2:57 pm
6 1/2 wins… how is that possible?
December 16th, 2008 at 7:40 pm
Uh, no I’m pretty sure they were up 17-0 in the first quarter against the Bucs and then lost 38-20. That would qualify as a first quarter team. But I think that the Lions will win a game- they will somehow win at Greenbay in Week 17 I’m callin’ it…
December 28th, 2008 at 6:01 pm
0-16 baby!!!!! the worst team in the history of the NFL!!!
December 28th, 2008 at 8:25 pm
That game was an aberration. Normally, the Lions give the other team a 14 or 21 point lead before scoring.
December 28th, 2008 at 8:26 pm
It’s an over/under. If you pick over, you’re assuming they’ll win at least 7 games. If you choose under, you’re assuming they’ll win 5 or less.

@usjets08 Stafford will be a bust because of Matt Millen, I know he was gone before he was drafted but his failures across the boards over 6 years doom the Lions to be 0-16 Ford had to fire him after that or Detroit would of started a riot worst than the Pacers and Pistons game. Stafford had no offense of line to do anything. He has playmakers but what use is that when you have no protection!!!! Sanchez has pro bowl lineman thats why he is the better QB

Millen is a joke! How does this guy have a job analyzing the NFL?
