Don't you think ESPN always overhypes the yankees redsox games?
I’ve never seen a matchup more hyped than this one. they may have a long history, but espn has now had a thing about their feud on for 3 hours. it’s not that exciting.

I think everybody overhypes these games.
I think ESPN overhypes everything.
Bad combination.
I also think ESPN should try to make it a bit less obvious that they’re a bunch of Sox fans.

yes they do because they are assholes
September 6th, 2010 at 4:43 am
i agree, its pissing me off
September 6th, 2010 at 4:43 am
Them and everybody else. ESPN is not the only one building this one up.

No, The Red Sox and Yankees Are the biggest rivals in sports!

Move to Boston or New York.

Yes. I heard Dan Patrick admit on the radio that ESPN has an east coast bias. A lot of people are sick of them talking about the Yanks and the Sox. That’s why Fox Sports has regional coverage instead of national.

A definite Yes! The history of the rivalry speaks for itself
September 6th, 2010 at 4:43 am
It is a big rivalry, but ESPN does overhype it just for the ratings. The rivalry between the Cards and the Cubs is just as big.
September 6th, 2010 at 4:43 am
YES!!!
September 6th, 2010 at 4:43 am
They do it because it is one of the oldest rivalries. Not to mention Boston and New York are 2 of the biggest markets in terms of baseball.
September 6th, 2010 at 4:43 am
Yes, and Thank God this is going to be the year that one of them isn’t going to the playoffs, and it’s most likely going to be the Red Sox, thank you God!
September 6th, 2010 at 4:43 am
Yeah!!! They dont even give that much hype to the Yankees, Mets games, i think that one should get more hype.
September 6th, 2010 at 4:43 am
Yes because they’re on the East coast and they have a tendency to over hype East coast teams in any sport. In their defense somewhat though, it is a very tight race that will hopefully come down to the last day of the season, so it does deserve some hype.
September 6th, 2010 at 4:43 am
hell no
September 6th, 2010 at 4:43 am
ESPN tends to overhype everything. I’ve particularly grown tired of their website where you have to pay to read some of the articles. Please!
September 6th, 2010 at 4:43 am
absolutely, the rest of the world don’t care that much about it,
Yankees fans thinks the world revolves around them
September 6th, 2010 at 4:43 am
East Coast snobbery…. It actually makes the Tigers success all the more sweeter for me knowing ESPN will hate the fact that neither the Bo Sox or the Yankers will be in the ALCS
September 6th, 2010 at 4:43 am
It’s all about the ratings..they’re selling their product so to speak. The Yankee/Red Sox rivalry is huge for fans of both teams. ESPN knows they’ll get many viewers.
