Football betting tips?
Hi. I’m new to betting and have some questions. Is it worth betting (e.g. £10) on both teams to win? And also placing the same bet on a draw? Would the return be more than what was spent if a bet is placed on all 3 outcomes?
Use this as an example -
Man Utd vs. Man City, typical odds:
Man Utd 1.29
Draw 4.50
Man City 8.50

No, you will lose out by an amount equal to the bookies profit margin. This is called the "Over-round" you can calculate this for yourself but is is typically 10 to 15%.

Never bet more than once for one bet. you better more money to lose with.
Bet on the particular one you want to win each time, that way, you stand more chance of winning. If u get what i mean.
so if 5 horse are running, bet on 1 to win, but pick middle odds to try and recoup double money back.
on Football, its too hard to predict, but your better off going with an accumulator of say 5 home wins

For the like of the Man.U odds above you can get better odds
by going for half time/full time result. Obviously more of a risk though.

Ian is correct - if you bet all outcomes you would lose in the long run because of the over-round the bookies take. They build a profit margin into the odds they offer you, so they’re normally always making a profit of about 10% on every market.

No, you will lose a little money if you do that, of course its not so easy. I recommend you to try Betfair.com because the odds there are better and you can place bets in play in every martket. Also if you register sign with this promotion code ANGMRGLHE
Its for 35 euro bonus after you makebets for 35 euro.
Good luck.
