I need ideas for a website!?

February 28th, 2011 | admin | Sports Betting System

Okay…

I am very new to making websites but have the basics down (in html). I am not the most creative kid in the world, but given an idea, I can really work with it and take that idea as far as I want!

My question to you guys is: What could I base my website around? What can I name it? What is something interesting the site can involve?

In order for you guys to help me I’ll let you know my interests…

-Avid Sports fan
-Enjoy Videogames
-Love writing
-I love to participate or even host competitive events

I recently joined this website (www.centsports.com), and would like to do something similar with my site! It’s a very interactive Sports Betting site, however members dont pay a dime! It lets me express my competitive nature, bet on sports (which obviously i enjoy), and communicate with friends and other members. The system is remarkable, clean, and very creative…

So, any answers? They’d be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
ERICbarbaric4!

A blog / personal small site may be an idea to start – you can write about what you like etc. etc. and grow the site ‘organically’.

If you’re on a Mac check out RapidWeaver (by realmacsoftware.com) – I can highly recommend it. Or you could take a look at wordpress (wordpress.org and wordpress.com).

    Hope this helps.

    I recommend freewebs.com
they let you set up a full account and create sites for free, just need to provide email and they don’t spam.
It’s a relatively easy to use interface provided you have the basics of HTML and interface design down, which you said you did.
They also have widget functions that allow you to embed games, videos, and more from sites without actually fooling with embedding code.
I suggest creating a site based on the stuff you enjoy and embedding videos, games and etc. in it.
You could also create discussion boards based on sites you enjoy such as centsports.com, or protrade.com
and/or, as the other person suggested, you could post cheat codes and start discussions on them.
another idea is to start a forum from sites such as informe.com, however, i don’t think these are free.

    Hey,

Interesting question.. And the possibilities of a site are endless… You could create a forum where people can discuss about sports, videogames or creative writing. Or you could blog about these things. If you want i can get you free hosting and install a forum and/or blog for you. If you are interested, drop me a line at webfunkin@gmail.com
Don’t worry i won’t charge you. You can even mail me if you have any doubts or want any help with anything. Best of luck. And remember, dreaming big helps!
