Is it odd for a filly to win races?

July 1st, 2010 | admin | How To Win At Sports Betting

I was looking at the list of past Kentucky Derby champs and noticed a symbol next to the "filly" winners. Why? Is it unusual that they win? Thanks!

it’s not common to see fillies run with colts and only 3 have actually won most of the fillies run the day before in their own derby the Kentucky Oaks the winner of that race was incredible many think she would have won the kentucky derby if she had run including me but her owners choose not to esp. after what happened last year to the filly 8 belles
