you obviously know nothing about horses or horse racing. the trainer doesnt race the horse does, and this is the greatest one since Secretariat period. a triple crown lock barring an unforseen disaster. and as far as a filly or any horse running him down he wasnt even being pushed and his jock had already started shutting him down. did u even pay attention to the acceleration on tap when its called for? a damn ferrari would have hell running Big Brown down! watch history in 3weeks
Eight Belles wasnt running severely to kill her. They were running her out after the derby and she took a bad step. It was a freak accident…which was completely sad because I hate to see horses die.
The douche that said horses aren’t meant to run…umm…what a douche. LOL. Thoroughbreds NEED to run. It’s like saying monkeys aren’t meant to climb or fish aren’t meant to swim.
These aerial views are fantastic at showing the details of how a race is run. I at first thought Big Brown was just the best horse in an OK year, but watching him accelerate in both this race and the Preakness, man, I’m a believer! I can’t wait for the Belmont.
if you watch the 3rd place finisher (Denis of Cork)from the early stretch you see him accelerating and weaving through horses and maybe not gaining on BB but not losing ground. He’s the real deal.
Eight Belles wasn’t going to catch BB, and Casino Drive isn’t going to either. These overhead shots are great to show just what a tremendous burst BB has.
BB by 10 in the Belmont. RIP to Eight Belles. She had the heart of a champion.

I used to like horse racing before this. I didn’t realize that they ran horses so severely that they hurt themselves and had to die.

Are you kidding? These things just happen. She had almost come to a stop for christ sakes.

Is BB really as good as everyone boasts? A filly was running him down. And BB’s trainor seems arrogant which is why he’ll get beat.

Actually, she broke down after she wound down.
No horse breaks down at the start of the straight, and still gets 2nd.
Who cares anyway, Boxer’s die in the ring, Dale Earnhardt died on the track, we still have those sports.

God I hope he pulls it off in the Belmont. It’s been too long. I don’t doubt his ability, I’m just wary of the Triple Crown curse.
He should do it though. Soo excited for the race tomorrow. I’ve been waiting 12 years, and the racing world has been waiting 30. Been far too long.
