Local race horse returns from Kentucky Derby

Race horse Watch Me Go, of Stonehedge Farm South in Williston, was transported home this morning after finishing 18th out of 19 horses that raced in this year’s Kentucky Derby. The horse was born and raised in Florida. Watch Me Go’s manager, Larry King, said the horse was at a slight disadvantage because of his placement on the outer edge of the track as well as a minor ankle injury. Horses are only allowed to enter the race once at the age of 3. King expects to race the horse for a few more years before breeding him to produce what he hopes will be the next Kentucky Derby hopeful. Watch Me Go will get two to three weeks of rest before returning to training.
