Plastic mint julep cups that you can DRINK out of?

July 11th, 2010 | admin | How To Win At Sports Betting

We are having a Kentucky Derby party and I wanted to purchase some plastic, real-looking mint julep cups. All the sites that sell these, say "for decorative purposes only." What’s the deal? Don’t these things exist? Anyone else?
I have visited two large party stores that do NOT have the plastic mint julep cups.Naturally, before putting the question on YA I googled and attempted to find a website that sold them for drinking. There are many sites for the "decorative" only. I’m just baffled by this, because I know I’ve seen them, or something shiny silver & plastic, that was for drinking. I’m thinking it was either a New Year’s Eve party or outdoor wedding reception. But I need someone who has actually located these. Thanks for any help.

I am having the same problem….and I live in Dallas now so none of our party stores have them. Let me know if you find anything!

Go to your local party store (i.e. Party Universe), large liquor store (i.e. Liquor Barn), or discount store (i.e. Dollar Tree, Deals).

This is what you need. You may want to search to see if you can find cheaper: http://www.save-on-crafts.com/pl.html

The others are for floral decorations, and it’s the paint that makes it unsafe to drink from.

Uh, scrap that link.. It’s not for drinking either!! I’m looking for another.

I give up.. can’t find any. I would suggest try to find a plastic look-alike, and then find a regular plastic cup that would fit inside. Good luck.
