size for college football?
next year im going to be in 9th grade (freshman) at my highschool and im going to play freshman football but ive never played before because i was well above the youth weight limits. although ive never played before the d-line varsity coach seems very interested in me playing. without shoes on im 6’3 and with shoes on im close to 6’4 and i weigh 235 and my final height is predicted to be 6’5(not lying about my size if you think i am dont bother to answer) ive been lifting weights and i move pretty well. The varsity coach said i would play d-tackle and somewhere on o-line. If i pick up football and become good would i have a shot at playing at a d-1 college. thanks

you have the size, but you need a lot of skill. people think that it is easy to go D1. its not. a lot of it also depends on where you live. If you live in the south, then you might get overshadowed by some of the guys that will go to Texas, Alabama, Florida, etc. But if you live in the north, or in a remote area, there is a much better chance of going D1. But you really need skill. A lot of skill.
