Thieves Pocket-dial 911, Leading to Arrest
Police in Wisconsin say two men in their late 20s stole DVDs and computer games from a Target store and discussed their plans to fence the goods while driving away. The duo didn’t realize one of them had accidentally pocket-dialed 911. (Dec. 16)

A 911 operator stayed on the line for an hour for retail theft? Seriously? I mean… I’m glad they caught the criminals, but if I were a 911 operator, I’d probably have hung up once I understood that it wasn’t about an emergency incident. I hope no emergency situations were put off because the operator was more concerned about DVD theft… I guess if they weren’t busy, and other operators were available, it’s okay, but still… priorities.

@colelv Their charges were most likely lowered as the crime they were about to commit did not occur. The police will respond with least hostile intentions in many cases but in force to deter escalation. They will only shoot to kill if the police/civilians are in danger. At least that is how it is suppose to work, but obviously incompetence exists in any organizations.

I’m guessing you must think I just moved to this country… I know just how pigs should act and I know how pigs really act. I have investigated many many cases of police brutality. and Murder by Cop. Cops almost always shot to kill NO MATTER WHAT. and many many cases of them shooting none violent criminals in the back when they try to run.. Police Brutality is a HUGE problem in America.
