The Sox and Yanks played 18 times last season, and only two of those games went past the 4-hour mark. So where are you getting this "usually over 4 hours" stuff from?
I agree that some of their games can go long, but I think a lot of this is perception.

The games always take forever because they are two of the most patient lineups in baseball. They take pitchers deep into counts and foul off a lot of good pitches. Also, there are usually a lot of crucial moments in every game, and that’s when things slow down and the game drags out.

because they are rivals and they try harder agenst each other

b/c the red sox suck

Because they have great hitting and lousy pitching, and it makes for a lot of 11-10 games.

Cause both teams have dynamic offenses and every time the two meet, they always light up the opposition’s pitching.
It’s ironic how, the last time Wang and Buckholtz met, they both pitched spectacular baseball. Last night, they both got hammered.
